How do they work?
Simple — your custom tag slides securely onto the Starbucks-issued metal name tag you already have. No tools, no adhesives, no modifications. Just slip it on and you're good to go.
About the Tags
What size are the tags?
Our name tags measure 3.3" × 1" (approximately 8.4 cm × 2.5 cm) — the same footprint as a standard Starbucks-issued name tag. They slide right onto your existing name tag holder with no modifications needed.
What material are the tags made from?
Tags are 3D printed using PETG filament, a durable thermoplastic known for its strength and resistance to everyday wear. The text and color are part of the print itself — not a sticker or coating — so there's nothing to peel or fade.
Are these approved for the Starbucks dress code?
In most situations, yes. Our black tags with white text are designed to align with current dress code guidelines. That said, interpretation can vary by location and manager, so we recommend confirming with your Coffeehouse Leader before wearing your tag on the floor.
What tag colors are available?
Currently, black is the only available tag color. This was an intentional choice to keep things dress-code friendly. We may explore additional colors in the future as guidelines evolve.
Can I choose a different text color?
At this time, white is the only text color. It provides the best contrast on a black tag and keeps the design clean and dress-code compliant.
Can I request a custom icon not shown in the designer?
The designer includes over 80 icons across 8 categories — Sports & Activities, Nature & Outdoors, Fun & Personal, Music & Arts, Food & Drink, Travel & Adventure, Gaming & Sci-Fi, and Style & Life. We're always looking to grow the selection and plan to add new icons over time and for special occasions. Stay tuned!
Ordering
Can I order multiple tags with different designs in one order?
Absolutely! Customize your first tag and click Add to Cart — the designer will reset so you can configure your next one right away. Repeat for as many tags as you need, then check out all at once. Volume discounts apply automatically, and shipping is always free.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes! The more tags you order, the lower the per-tag price. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
As long as your order
hasn't shipped yet, we're happy to cancel it and issue a full refund. Reach out as soon as possible at
orders@grubbmake.com with your order details.
Turnaround & Shipping
How long does it take to receive my order?
Tags are produced on demand. Most orders are made and shipped within 3–5 business days, plus standard shipping time to your address. We'll send you a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not yet — we currently ship within the United States only. International shipping may be available in the future.
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes! Once your order is packed and handed off to the carrier, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your package every step of the way.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported where available.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. All payments are processed through Stripe, one of the most trusted payment platforms in the world. Your card details are encrypted and never stored on our servers.
Quality & Care
How durable are the tags? Will the text hold up?
PETG is a tough, impact-resistant material built for everyday use. Since the text is printed directly into the tag (not painted or coated), it won't fade, scratch off, or peel. The material is also fairly UV resistant, but for the longest life we recommend storing your tag indoors and keeping it away from prolonged direct sunlight or extreme heat.
Problems & Returns
What if my tag arrives damaged?
We'll make it right! Send a photo of the damaged tag to
orders@grubbmake.com and we'll get a replacement on its way to you.
What if there's a typo or wrong icon on my tag?
Please double-check your name spelling and icon selection carefully before placing your order — production begins quickly after checkout. If you catch an error right away, email
orders@grubbmake.com and we'll do our best to help.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because every tag is custom-made to order, we're unable to accept returns or exchanges. If your tag arrives damaged or defective, see above — we'll always take care of that.
